Elins Esplanad uses video surveillance in the shopping center to prevent crime and provide law enforcement agencies with greater support in solving crimes. Elins Esplanad is authorized to conduct video surveillance in accordance with video surveillance guidelines, the Video Surveillance Act, and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
To achieve this purpose, video footage is stored and may be handed over to law enforcement authorities in connection with suspected criminal activity. The camera footage is used solely for this purpose, and access to the camera system is restricted to the shopping center’s security guards only.
We use your personal information in connection with the shopping center’s video surveillance. For information about where the data is stored, please contact the shopping center management at olof.ljungberg@newsec.se. Recorded footage is retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purpose of the camera system, which is 7 days.
Signs informing visitors about video surveillance are clearly posted at each entrance. These signs include contact information for the facility’s data controller. If you are dissatisfied with how Elins Esplanad conducts its video surveillance, please contact the mall management.
