David, the food creator at Smakrådet, has teamed up with Ebba Isacson to share tips that will not only add variety to the menu but (perhaps) also get the kids to eat their vegetables.
Their first tip for making both everyday dinners and special occasion meals fun for everyone is to involve the kids in the planning and come up with kid-friendly options.
“Kids want to do the same things we adults do. Prepare some pre-dinner drinks and snacks for them, too, so everyone stays in a good mood until dinner is ready,” says Ebba.
For David, food is a social and fun experience. In the summer, the focus is, of course, on the grill—it’s quick, and everyone can choose what they want to eat.
– Don’t forget how delicious grilled vegetables are! They work great as a main course or a side dish. The kids can put together their own skewers with mushrooms and vegetables, and they’re easy to eat with your hands.
